$198,000+ Donated to FAR Through 1% for Trails
Our combined 1% for Trails donations from both restaurants have surpassed $198,000 to Fremont Adventure Recreation, helping build 70+ miles of trails in the Royal Gorge Region.
Both Whitewater restaurants donate 1% of every check to Fremont Adventure Recreation (FAR). Combined, that program has surpassed $198,000 to date — funding trail building, signage, parking, and maintenance across the Royal Gorge Region.
That money has helped underwrite 70+ miles of new and improved trail in the South Cañon Trails network and the Royal Gorge corridor.
Why FAR
Trails are the reason most of our guests visit Cañon City. Mountain bikers, hikers, runners, and climbers come for the dirt and stay for dinner. Funding the trail network funds our own customer base — and FAR has been the most efficient builder of public trail miles per dollar in the region.
Every receipt funds a few inches of singletrack. Every busy Saturday funds a switchback. Multiply that across two restaurants and a decade and the number gets meaningful.
How it works
No opt-in. No round-up. No surcharge added to your check. We donate 1% of gross sales every month, automatically. If you eat with us, you are funding trail.
